Based on "The Wild Swans"

Armored Swans is loosely based on the Hans Christian Anderson story. In this 3D-printed tabletop adaptation, the 11 banished Princes fight back. Whilst giant swans (by day) they scour the land looking for metal. Whilst men (by night) they forge the metal into armor.

Prepare to assault the witch queen.

Phase 1: Setup

Phase 2: Gather

Roll the dice each day to fly through the forest looking for metal.
Move 1 space each night, or forge the metal into armor.

Beware: Each night the queen grows more powerful...

Phase 3: Attack

Once your motley crew feels prepared, go into attack phase. Each wave against the evil queen consist of 1-3 swans. The queen does an AoE or directed attack, followed by the swans' attack.

Now that you've gotten the basics down...

Instead of using a square pattern for the trees, challenge yourself by experimenting with various shapes. Perhaps a rectangle, with the anvil at one end? Perhaps you want to use a hexagonal pattern for your trees. Or better yet, build a more fluid shape!

What to do with the 10's, J's, Q's, K's and Aces?

Take these cards, and shuffle them into their own deck. Each time you successfully forge a piece of metal, draw one of these cards. During the attack phase, these cards provide the following one-time abilities:

• 10: "Perfect 10" - When your character rolls their maximum value, do an additional 10 damage
• J:
• Q: Play this card to cancel one attack by the Queen, only to your player
• K: True to the story, the King does nothing
• A: "Flying Ace" - play this card to perform 2 full attacks this round
